The pile dwelling sites around the Alps featured on UNESCO's World heritage list, which includes 111 of the most remarkable lake-dweller villages chosen from among one thausand known sites in the six countries of the Alpine region (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland).
Five sites in FRIBOURG REGION are concerned: Gletterens/Les Grèves, la Pointe de Greng, Haut-Vully/Môtier, Morat/Grand port, Noréaz/Praz de Gueux.
