Difficulty: Very easy

Duration: 02:45

Distance: 10 km

Ascent/Descent: +212m / -212m

A varied hike along country roads, through forests and quiet neighborhoods, awaits you.

From Murten station, take the yellow marked path 2 Murten - Laupen until the Prehl area. Follow the course of the Mühlebach (mill stream) to the bridge in Im Loch and enter in the "Craux Wald" forest. On the edge of the Wilerholz, enjoy the magnificent view of Murten, the lake, the Vully, the Seeland and the Jura. Continue in the direction of Salvenach to reach the Buggli forest horn, turn across the fields towards Oberburg, the main site of the Battle of Murten in 1476. Through the Burggraben ravine, reach the hamlet of Burg, climb the Adera hill and return to the starting point.

The advice: We recommend a visit of Münchenwiler Castle and its splendid setting, which was built as a clunisian priory in the 12th century, and which is now open as a hotel and restaurant.
